Northeastern Pennsylvania communities continue rebuilding months after devastating flood waters caused severe damages. Lackawanna College’s Towanda Center building sustained serious structural damages as water levels reached as high as eight feet on the first floor, destroying computers and furniture.

To assist Lackawanna College in its rebuilding efforts, Chief Oil & Gas provided a $15,000 donation to use towards its flood relief and new construction efforts that are now under way.

“We are grateful to have such a supportive community in Bradford County,” said Joyce Kerrick, director of the Towanda Center at Lackawanna College. “Chief has made it possible for us to rebuild and revive our campus community.”

The new building is scheduled to reopen for students and staff in January 2012. Chief Oil & Gas LLC joined Tug Hill Inc. in September to donate $250,000 for flood relief in Pennsylvania.
